ARTIST STATEMENT
Since making my first marks, with my pencil at age four, I always knew my passion is my art.
Whether painting large or very small miniature oils, I hope to reflect my love for color and the
song of nature’s beauty. I paint whimsical, enchanting works in oil, acrylic and watercolors,
designed to draw my audience into a joyful world of color. My art has always been in my
heart, as art is my life, which is why I call it my “Art from the Heart”. As my work is
constantly in a state of change, it always holds a common thread back to my first marks.
BIOGRAPHY
I was born and raised on the shores of Lake Minnetonka, Minnesota, with Swedish heritage.
I have lived in Florida for the past 14 years, where I have taught painting to both children and
adults –“Art from the Heart”. My paintings are influenced by my varied life experiences
and worldwide travels. I have been journaling my dreams for many years, which influences
my art, as I find my art is an essential part of my unconscious, spiritual journey.
